The School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) of Tsinghua University, in line with the university motto of “Self Discipline and Social Commitment”, strengthens the introduction and training of top-notch talents and outstanding young talents, taking an important step in building a first-class school of information in a world-class university.

Addressing the needs of developing an information discipline cluster, the school has strengthened the introduction of high-level talents, established operational norms, and done a good job in the evaluation and support of talent funds in an effort to attract outstanding scholars to work in the school. Relying on the high-end platform of Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology (BNRist), the school has formulated the reform plan of talent system, strengthened the construction of research teams, implemented the work policy of regarding talent introduction and talent training as equally important, striving to establish an excellent faculty daring to undertake research on important innovative issues and major strategic tasks.

By December 2025, there were 506 faculty members in the school, including 220 with full and senior professional titles, accounting for 43% of the total, 231 with associate senior titles, accounting for 46% of the total, and 55 with intermediate titles, accounting for 11% of the total.
